|Austin and Shanda Brown|
Austin and Shanda Brown were both called to Missions at a very young age. Since 2000, they have ministered as missionaries to Europe, serving two years as international youth pastors in Brussels, Belgium, and helping to plant two churches, as well as working with college students. Their focus is on discipleship and mentoring through the ministry of Master’s Commission. Working toward spiritual transformation, they teach students how to put the Gospel into practice in their own lives and share it with those who are lost. They have been involved in connecting pastors in the U.S. with overseas missions opportunities, developing teams to serve in orphanages, Bible Schools, Churches and youth evangelism.
The Brown’s are ordained with Harvest Churches International and are back in Stuttgard, Germany, reconnecting with their church family there. They have already hit the ground running. Their church, Mosaik, has had an influx of kids in their Monday night outreaches over the last few months, and their Tuesday night college group has now grown to 13! Austin is sharing in the Sunday preaching responsibilities and Shanda is launching a new girls' small group. They are focusing a lot of their efforts in the first few months on reaching young families in the area, and they are looking forward to seeing what God is going to do in Stuttgart.
The German leadership met with the Browns and expressed how excited they are to have a discipleship school in Stuttgart where young people can be trained and sent out to make a difference in Germany and around the world.
They were in the kitchen preparing dinner for their Monday night outreach recently when a girl by the name of Sabrina knocked on their apartment door. She told them that she feels God is leading her to commit two years of her life, focusing on growing in her relationship with Him. As the conversation continued, they told her about the upcoming Master's Commission Europe conference and the Experience Master's Commission week happening in April. She became very excited about the possiblity of speanding more time at these two events and learning more about discipleship. She told them, "I need some discipleship in my life. I want to grow more in my walk with God, and I really want to develop the gifts God has put inside of me. I want to serve my church with my gifts and talents and want to learn more in a doing (hands-on) environment. Master's Commission sounds great!"
Sabrina has finished her studies as a social workier and wants to put that into use to see the church in Germany strengthened and the Kingdom of God expanded! Through Master's Commission, they will have the opportunity to disciple young people like Sabrina who will invest back into their churches and take their passion for God and their love for their jobs and bring life to those they are around each day.
Thank you for touching people's lives in Germany!
